PYB PROGRAMS

Pembroke Youth Basketball relies on many dedicated volunteers to provide programs covering about 8 months a year. These programs can be segmented into four primary groups as follows:

Travel teams

The travel teams are selected on the basis of tryouts for individual grade levels. Travel teams play in regional leagues which provide a more competitive environment to complement the instructional emphasis of the scheduled practice sessions. In addition to the league play, there is often an opportunity to play in a tournament as well. Pembroke usually supports a travel team for each grade level from 5th grade to 8th grade.  This year for the first time, PYB had 4th grade boys and girls travel teams as well.

Sign ups are held each Autumn for the Winter programs and each Spring for the Summer Leagues.

Skills Clinics

Pembroke Youth Basketball is offering seasonal skills clinics.  These skills clinic take place in the late summer and winter.  The goal of the skills clinic will be to offer kids a format in which they can be taught the skills necessary to improve their games.
