NOT ALL PYB BASKETBALL DRIVES ARE TO THE HOOP…
by Tim Riley on Jun.19, 2010, under Archives, PYB News, Summer
In the winter of 2008, Pembroke Youth Basketball decided to reach out to other communities and organize a collection of extra basketball jerseys. The drive was a success as over 100 jerseys were split up and sent to programs in North Carolina, New Hampshire and Ontario Canada that share the same municipal name as our very own Pembroke.
This summer we want to help stock the shelves at our own Pembroke Food Pantry. Beginning on Sunday July 11th and going through Friday July23rd, all players and fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable item and place it the collection container located at the outdoor courts. Whether you come out to play or just watch the action, please team up with us to stock those shelves.
Please print the list HERE and take it with you on your next shopping trip. Be sure to fill out the entry form at the top and drop it and into the collection bin along with your items for a chance to win a “Thank you” basket of candy generously donated by our friends at “The Candy Jar”.
